We have partnered with the American Diabetes Association to offer several free education classes for prevention and modification through their Live Empowered! Programs. These classes include several trainings which are scheduled according to your organizations calendar at the location of your choice.

Our curriculum teaches children how to make responsible, safe and smart choices. Instructor-led training programs teach children:
•how to be safe at home and safe in the community
•manners, etiquette, being polite and how to set a table
•how to make healthy choices and live healthy lives
•entrepreneurship business skills

Babysitter certifications

Do you know a child (age 11-13), or anyone who is interested in becoming a baby-sitter? This class prepares individuals for possible first aid, poison control, safety, and babysitting emergencies. This class Includes:
•Getting your business started
•Organizing your tote bag
•Playtime ideas for all ages
•First Aid, including a demonstration of CPR and abdominal thrusts for choking victims
•Understanding the likes and dislikes of children
•Troubleshooting…solutions to the most common problems a baby-sitter faces. Estimated completion time: Varies depending on open scheduling

Family & Friends training

This class is available to anyone who:
1) wants to learn CPR in an Instructor-led or facilitated group environment
2) does not need a course completion card for a job or other requirements, and
3) are middle- and high-school students who do not need a course completion card.

Faith-based classes need a minimum of 5 people (discount will be applied for classes of 6 or more).
School-age classes need a minimum of 8 people (discount will be applied for classes of 9 or more).

Bloodborne pathogens

Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens is designed for anyone with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as correctional officers, childcare workers, security guards, maintenance workers, school personnel, hotel housekeepers, health and fitness club staff, tattoo artists.

Skills check / skills test (PT. 2 & 3 of online Class)

This program is for healthcare professionals seeking an alternative (non-classroom) method for completing an initial or renewal/update BLS for Healthcare Providers Course.

Must have certificate from completing part 1 of online training.

Estimated completion time: 1-2 hours

HEARTSAVER First aid only

Heartsaver courses are for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid to meet job, regulatory or other requirements and is seeking an alternative to classroom-based training.

*PLEASE NOTE:
Renewal students must have previous card available for discounted class rate. Otherwise the class will be classified and billed as "New" ($50.00).

Estimated completion time: up to 2-3 hours

HEARTSAVER cPR / aed - available WITH FIRST AID

Heartsaver courses are for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR/AED (with or without First Aid), to meet job, regulatory or other requirements and is seeking an alternative to classroom-based training.

*PLEASE NOTE:
Renewal students must have previous card available for discounted class rate. Otherwise the class will be classified and billed as "New" ($55.00).

Estimated completion time: 3-4 hours (Add 2-3 hours for First Aid portion).

For healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of hospital settings.
